Venue

The ISCE 2024 Meeting will take place on the campus of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CULS = CZU). The campus is located in the district of Suchdol, a northwest suburb of Prague, approximately 30 minutes away from the city centre by public transport.

The modern green campus offers all services and facilities in one place. There are six faculties with lecture halls, student dormitories, parks, an arboretum, restaurants and bars, parking lots, etc. Besides the student dormitories, there are three hotels near the campus.

Arrival by plane

Prague Airport (Václav Havel Airport) is located 10 km west of the city centre. You can make your way from the airport to the campus by public transport or taxi.

Trolley 59 – metro line A (green) – BUS 107/147. The number 59 trolley brings passengers in 17 minutes from the airport to Nádraží Veleslavín metro station. A public transport ticket costs 40 CZK, is valid for 90 minutes and covers all connecting public transport lines in Prague (buses, trams, or the metro). Do not forget to stamp the ticket inside the first public transport vehicle of your journey. You do not need purchasing any more tickets for the rest of the meeting since all attendees will receive transportation tickets for the conference days at the registration desk!

At Nádraží Veleslavín station, get on the A metro line (green) and travel to Dejvická metro station. Select the subway exit in the direction of the train’s travel (i.e. the side without escalators), climb the stairs and follow the signs to Suchdol (on the left). Take the number 107 or 147 bus and travel to the Zemědělská univerzita bus stop. The journey takes around 10 minutes. You can check the detailed video guide on how to use Prague public transport by the Honest Guide here.

A taxi is the most expensive but quickest way to get to the meeting’s venue; the price should be around CZK 350–400. Uber is the official taxi provider for Prague Airport, but other services (e.g. Bolt, Liftago) are available as well upon downloading their custom application in your cell phone.

Arrival by train

Passengers travelling to Prague by train arrive at one of two large railway stations: Prague Main Railway Station (Hlavní nádraží) or Holešovice Railway Station (Nádraží Holešovice). Both are on the metro line C (red).

Take the metro (line C, red) to Muzeum station, change to metro line A (green) and go to Dejvická station. Select the subway exit opposite to the travel direction (i.e. the side without escalators). Climb the stairs and follow the signs to Suchdol (on the left). Take the number 107 or 147 bus and travel to the bus stop Zemědělská univerzita. The journey takes around 10 minutes.

Arrival by bus

Passengers coming by coaches will mostly arrive at Florenc Bus Station (Autobusové nádraží Florenc), which is situated on the metro line C (red).

Take the metro line C (red) to Muzeum station, change to metro line A (green) and go to Dejvická station. Select the subway exit opposite to the travel direction (for better orientation = the side without escalators). Climb the stairs and follow the signs to Suchdol (on the left). Take the bus number 107 or 147 and travel to Zemědělská univerzita stop. The journey takes around 10 minutes.
